First and foremost, it is worth noting that Samoens boasts a Famille Plus label, which identifies and acknowledges it has having adequate facilities as a resort for families with children, all year round.

The little people can ski from the age of 3 – they must be a little bit older before they can snowboard (boohoo). They can have lessons at the widely recognised L’ecole du ski francais.

Children can be let loose to play about and practice at the Jardin des Nieges, or Piou Piou (as it is now known).
Also, sledging slopes, and tobogganing is heaps of fun for all ages and in a child-friendly environment. There are Luge runs that have recently opened at the top of Grand Massif Station, (in 2009), which are suited to both children and adults.
Summer fun...
Tarzan-style Indiana Park is close to the village centre. Open all throughout summer, it is appealing to all those who fancy crossing tree-top bridges, climbing rope ladders and whizzing down tree-lined slopes.

Other summer activities with children (and families) in mind are:
Creche facilities are available from age 3 month onwards; there is a large nursery in the centre of town, which includes meals in their service. It is available throughout the year.
