Samoens winter 2010/2011

As summer 2010 draws to a close, the winter season's snow will reign over the Samoens...and if last winter is anything to go by, you won't be disappointed!

Typically lots of powder days at the summit and the Grand Massif runs, clear blue skies with sun reflecting off the snow and breathtaking panoramic views that no winter wonderland postcard could ever emulate… If you’re thinking of some time on the slopes, remember that the Grand Massif is one of the largest ski areas in Europe with 77 lifts and over 133 runs.

December 2009 saw the opening of the Chariande Express Chairlift which simply is the Ferrari of all chair lifts: from 1600 to 2120ft in 9 minutes, leaving you with time to try out the other 76!

Enjoy some leisurely skiing/snow-boarding at 1600, be inspired by the 2009 Slalom and Freeride Championships and show off your speed riding talent, take in the stunning views of the Mt Blanc mountain range from Les Grandes Platieres, spend time with the children on the nursery runs at 1600 or simply be! Skidooing, tobogganing, ski-trecking and ice-climbing are all on offer too...Samoens has it all for the whole family.
